Keystone today for catfish. The biggest fish we caught was in 24 foot of water. It was difficult to pick up a consistent bite they were not interested in coming to the boat to get fed basically had to just get right on top of them and wait them out We also caught some smaller fish in 16 foot of water. And my customers were very patient they let me look around quite a bit today so I could get a feel for what’s happening with the catfish with the weather change. North wind started blowing about three days ago and I noticed the crappie bite was tougher and I would say the catfish bite was tough as well. In both cases not nonexistent by any means. I figured with the rain we should move up shallow but honestly they just haven’t moved much at all. Thanks Leon for bringing three generations out to fish today.

Oologah again today for crappie with Steve and his grandson.. The bite was finicky all day but doable. I rolled into one area had the biggest school of crappie i’ve ever seen in one area and that helped. Pulled a bunch of nice ones at another area next to it as well. I know of half the fish available was in the mood to feed we would have had more.. We did fine anyway cleaning 84 nice crappie about 25lbs of meat. bite seemed best 10 to 18ft for me.

Fish On! fishonok.com Thanks Lee for bringing your crew coming back and using my service to catch these fish! Oologah today fished brush piles 5 to 15ft deep and bite was decent. we loaded the chest with 114 fine white crappie. Got about 30lbs of good eating fillets. call to book this is good all summer.

Hey Hey Fish On! fishonok.com SATURDAY is open. Got plenty of openings on calendar let’s get them while it’s good!! wont last forever.. Shout out to Richard Arnold he made me some sandbass rods earlier this year and I couldn’t have been more pleased today with the performance and ability to handle the strong fish. My customers canceled today so i loaded up a couple friends and went to Keystone for sandbass and took me a minute to get oriented and find what I wanted on livescope but we got it figured out in 6 to 20 ft of water casting slabs and a few later on with some umbrella rigs. We had doubles and triples on the rigs and Dan caught a massive hybrid and a spoonbill. It was one to remember and i wouldn’t mind taking some customers on this. I’ve been covering a lot of species on purpose make sure we get you what you want. I couldn’t believe how much fun we had today. Call anytime 🙂

Fish On! fishonok.com Back to keystone today with regular customer we did a short trip in the afternoon and I did have to look around for the fish a couple of stops but once I got that figured out we we’re on our way to the regular 30 or more but we ran out of time so we got 20 and cleaned a one man limit of nice blues. Big fish was 10lbs. plenty in the 5 to 7 lb range and a few under 5.. fishing flats at 25ft today they moved back up a little from yesterday but not much.
