Fish On! We hit perfect conditions and wrecked them on Sooner lake today for hybrid Striper so don't cancel if it's wind rain and cloudy! They started coming on litterally every stop, once the sun got up pretty good we started chasing blowups all day and it's one of those days where you can get a real feel for how many fish are actually in that lake, it's incredible. The bite didn't stop today we ran out of bait ran out of space ran out of time killed every battery and fast as a person could go was not fast enough! I mean they were on it fishing open water in many cases. We started out in 25 foot of water and ended in 55 foot. But a lot of our lines were only set about 15 or 20 feet below the boat using small live shad. Thanks Bobby for being patient with me and I'm sure glad we made it happen buddy thank you!

Fish On! fishonok.com We hit Sooner at 7am and I'm glad I made it an hour earlier the hybrid bite was good and soon as the sun come up by 8:30 it was like flipping a switch calm sunny day soon as they could see the boat and rigs better they was gone. They're chasing schools of shad soon as they can see good. We was in 28 feet of water I moved out to about 38 that didn't do much for me so I took off to a different part of the lake and fish 55 feet of water. That helped put some cushion between us and the fish. We went on to catch more hybrids just a few but perch kept biting and got some nice catfish. I started thinking about deeper structure and tried another spot and we got them pretty good there, big perch and a a blue. Hybrids finicky been that way. 14 hybrid, 1 saugeye, 60 perch, 3 catfish. Fun outing lotta good eats.

Fish On! fishonok.com Sooner lake today. Started out kind of similar to yesterday a lot of birds hitting the water on the main lake. And I think our first stop was one of the best ones again. Things were slower than yesterday I don't know if it's going to continue that way but they didn't hang around boat long before loosing interest. One stop had a alarming number of perch. We caught 2 to 4 hybrid on each stop up till about 11:30 never got anything going after that. Warm side of lake is looking better on sonar however the fish ran away from boat there so that didn't work. Smaller live bait seem to work best even though the perch get after them. I was fishing 35 to 55 feet of water and by middle of the day the bite was just totally off so we called it good cleaned up 13 hybrid Striper 13 perch and three catfish, 14 pound blue, 5 pound channel cat and a 4 pound flat head. It was about 2° water temperature difference between the cold side and warm side being at 56 and 58

Fish On! fishonok.com Sooner lake today we rolled out about 8 AM this morning and I seen big flocks of birds hitting the water headed over that direction and fish were just going crazy underneath them everywhere so we sat there long time till they quit and that was our best stop. However we hit hybrids on every stop and saugeye and perch. I was fishing 35 to 45 foot of water using live shad some of them on freelines some of them on downlines. They bite better early then just gets more normal as sun gets stronger. Fish are scattered over large areas chasing baits and they have to be willing to stack up under the boat. We fished a 20mph wind today had the lake to ourselves. I think the water temp was 57 I'm still on the main lake side of life. November 28, 29th, and 30th is still open this month give me a shout! 22 nice hybrid, 6 pound channel catfish. 6 saugeye and one big whopper 23" saugeye, 32 white perch. Fun outing!

Fish On! Sooner lake today with Rhonda, Jim, Lynne and Larry, long standing clients of fish on and youth pastors insuring the future of America. Thanks for helping support my fishing efforts and family. The Hybrid bite was not as strong as I had left it Saturday, they were still around. Trending towards deeper water closer to 40ft than 30 still scattered and roving chasing bait schools. It's hard to determine how many are around just by looking at sonar they are mixed in with perch and behave similar. Hybrids today just wouldn't build up around the boat so the darn perch were more than willing to just take over. 16 hybrid, 86 perch, 3 large saugeye up to 22" and a nice 5lb catfish. Lotta good eating fish. Our second stop was best I moved a few times today it was much harder to get anything going by midday. Morning bite was best. Got them cleaned and bagged up and headed to catch some bait which I found in deep clear water they were easily avoiding my boat and net till about 5pm dusk hit then they come up to surface bam got what I needed and headed home. Yep easily a 12hr day. Post going up late. Sooner only works if I'm willing to give it all I've got on days like today. More perch this year than last year I hope they slow down. Seems like things are trending thru the stages quickly. I don't think much is happening on the warm side yet.
