I geared up for sandbass, crappie and catfish and we ended up trying them all and doing fair on them all. Water temps was about 82 and we was fishing slabs 18ft for sandbass, minnows 6 to 9ft for crappie and cut shad 25 to 30ft for blue cats. . We ended the trip with 35 sandbass, 22 crappie and 14 blue cat up to 6 lbs.. all of them varied in size from small to real nice we pitched back a ton of them too. It was a fun and satisfying day! New boat is awesome easily holding tackel and poles for all 3 species and 7 anglers today and myself

For birthday trip turning the big 14 I pulled up into a school of sandbass that just couldn't be denied considering there was thousands In fact one of the biggest schools I ever seen. They bit pretty good and just stayed there around the boat. After that we moved on to the Crappie which we were there to get. A couple of brush piles delivered a big hit getting what we needed we had to move a lot.. I cleaned about 65 fish by my count nothing big just some summertime fish and we released quite a few small ones just some good summertime action.
Fish On at Keystone today. Had Jeremy and his family out today to look for blue catfish got a nice early start but didn't see any out in the main lake like I was hoping. Finally found a few and caught a few but was going pretty slow mostly pushed up along the banks in 15ft or less. We decided to try sandbass and I put us right on them and just couldn't hardly make them bite. They sat up real nice on sonar about 20 to 30ft away from boat but tried everything I know and would get a a few bites and caught one. Seen a fella trolling catch 2 at random locations. Decided to try the blues again on that area and up in the creek where we launched and nope marked plenty of fish but personally I couldn't get any traction today. Invited my crew to do a makup trip later on and left it at that. First trip this year I wasn't satisfied with. Got 6 or 8 keepers I done forgot.

Big thanks to Randy for bringing his daughter and grandchildren out to Sooner Lake to check out the saugeye fishing. We rolled out to the first stop and it was pretty good landing a few keepers once that played out went searching the third stop produced a couple more, unfortunately, we had some good ones get loose the short bites began. Checked some deeper water and the bite there was even softer and just not working. I put some thought into finding some shallow structure that might produce and we got some luck once again landing at least 3 or 4 more keepers. We had so many shake off I'd normally get frustrated and want to drop bombs on them but Randy took it in stride and that helped keep me on point. We should have had a 2 man limit but the bites were passive. We will get em next time. Shelled thru 30 or more and had 18 white perch. I'd love to spend some more time on it! BUY a trip
Fish On! Checking out Keystone today with Shane and family. Big thanks. We started in the rain and first stop produced a lot of nice fish, once the weather front cleared we would pick up a few on each stop but the bite was a lot slower. We fished 12 to 25ft with cut shad and overall was about the same. Lake is up and muddy. Probably won't stay that way too long unless more rain comes in that drainage basin. Book anytime on fishonok.com or 918-724-6786 we shoulda made him pick up a big fish lol. 3 to 7 lbs is biting and the real tiny and real large ones not so much. Good photo we worked hard for them got 20.
