Fish On! Book anytime at fishonok.com or 918-724-6786 We hit it out early to Lower Illinois river and we put our feelers out in low 80degree water and went working our way up it it actually didn't take long today to start hooking a few stripers. We worked over a pretty large area of fish wishing we had half of what was on livescope. We then went on to find some more in 60degree water which were a little better size on average. Search and search it's a much larger area than some people realize so far the fish have moved every time and they get up in moss a foot deep and sonar don't do much on the locating. Good trip! Fun again so far limits all around on all the trips so far..
Fish On! Had Michael, Gary, and Owen out on oologah today. Fish bite was pretty difficult overall however we couldn't complain either, we tried a variety of live bait presentations, artificials and cut bait. Smaller catfish was biting good enough to stay interesting. 5 to 25 ft seemed best on them.
Fish On! Had a cancellation so I ran out to try some new stuff at Oologah, I've got a lot of days open next week and following weeks to get in on some family fun just call me or book a trip online at fishonok.com. Bait was fairly difficult to locate for whatever reason. Smaller size is what we were able to get so off we went. I parked on a pile of fish and we sat there and wore them out a couple hours. It was some of the fastest bite action I've been on in awhile. Remarkable really! Hybrid and sandbass mix. We moved on to find some crappie and I managed to locate those as well. They was large enough to eat so was pretty happy with that. Water temps have been down to about 80 since we started with the showers a week or so back. The water has come up a little there at Oologah but it's looking good. All fish released.
Fish On! Hey Thanks Shane for choosing my service. Thanks for making it to check out the Lower Illinois river. We started searching and searching on and on for a very long time. I was covering some different water on the way out about 10am around the mud line and finally got into a big group of striper, hybrid, white bass. We caught some bigger ones trolling swimbaits, then proceeded to catch many many more by casting. I hazard a guess at 30 or more all caught and released. Mostly about 3ft of water. A one or two man limit of keepers if ya wanted a fry. These fellas fly fishing on my boat, I knew that was coming eventually, it's a die hard method of take and worked just great. Fishing was best in about 80degree water. Similar to last trip. Sun up, way up is best..
