Fish On! 6-30-24 Guided new friends out on Keystone Lake and Catfish were on fire today obviously they were moving because we never moved and boxed 35 in 3hrs. Mostly smaller variety 3 to 5lbs with 3 overs mixed in one of them being 18lb. Thanks Von for organizing the event. Everyone had a good time and the fishing was remarkable. I’ve got 3rd and 5th open this week. We can do this and load up on meat or we can experiment with some new stuff like crappie and sandbass on artificials. Fish On! Keystone :):):) we like dem blues:):):) Morning bite is best yesterday big fish would bite. Today was more typical all of them were biting good. It was like that before that last system moved in so probably rain tonight. They are glued to their food source I don’t have to search for them that’s a fact. Weeks now they’re right on spot. Finally found some bait that would live pretty good, fresh bait always best. Fishing about 10ft of water. Fish On! Keystone Lake hunting blue cat. They’re not moving much. Morning bite is best we got right on them and got to work but the bite was pretty finicky. We wrapped it up before it got hot decided to get to be conservative get the fish cleaned and get out of there and it worked great. Larger five and 6 pound fish were biting and that’s only size. No small ones. barely able to stuff them into 2 gallon bags. Corporate outing opted for no photos. Thanks Shelby and Austin Garrett Scott for making it happen. Fish On! We headed out to Keystone this morning and got skimmed by a large weather front. There were some strong north winds coming out of that. I moved up to get out of the wind and caught nice fish and it just kind of went on like that the rest of the day nothing crazy overall a little slower than yesterday but not much. Boxed 29 and larger fish would bite and smaller ones not so much. Water temps 78 and fishing 6 to 12 ft was most productive. Corporate teambuilding trip today. Thank you!
Fish On! Back to home lake today Keystone. Bait and Fish are right where I left them and they’re hungry. We tanked 38 blue and channel cat in short order this morning caught up to 16lb and had another reel barker get loose. Water temp 87 and fish are hot and angry we put the brakes on them with some ice water. Fishing 6 to 10 ft flats was productive.
