Fish On! Keystone today we started at 8 so I was leery about spending time on striper that and I’ve had zero time to scout for them. We had a boat load of people to feed as well and a heck of a lot more in camp. At any rate we got lines going for catfish and it was a steady bite it kept us sitting there and it was productive, we got 20 of them fishing 5 to 10ft of very stained water before lunchtime. Also caught 4 big gar and a drum lol. Everything you’d expect on a keystone catfish outing at any rate we had a big 12 lb blue several 8 and 6 lb and more smaller ones. Water temps 80plus steady bite was 10ft or more on depth. Cut live gizzard shad. Most important of all Bob and his family got a good excuse to get together and celebrate Father’s Day doing what they love. Bob makes the best jerky known to man by the way and thanks for coming to visit with me again and fish Keystone with very awesome family. Thank you for supporting my service. Yalls probably frying the fish right now thank God for providing. Fish On!
Fish On! 6-14-24 We started early on Skiatook and took down a limit pretty much before full sunrise. Fishing 40 to 45ft of water on Large Live Shad. We stayed on them a little while longer and boated over 20 we didn’t want to injure any fish more than necessary so we decided to head out and avoid the heat. Got a lot of great photo and video footage. Big fish was a 7lb we had a double on and one escaped probably same size. Thank you Martha and Blake Congrats on your very sucessful marriage and Happy Birthday to Blake
Fish On 6-13-24 Ft Gibson pleasure having Cash and his son out today otherwise known as nonstop fishing machine. We put the whack on a limit of blues quickly various sizes from 2 to 6lbs about what it has been. Haven’t had time to scout lakes for catfish but having several requests to fill we been hitting the big river. Fishing 20 to 6 ft of water. Cut shad cast away from the boat.
Fish On! I had the pleasure to guide my new friend Corey on some local waters here where he’s built a beautiful home near skiatook! We tried the morning over at South Oologah hoping to get some crappie and we did along with a sandbass and we tried some catfish lines that just did not get bit. It wasn’t anywhere near what I was looking for. We took a little lunch break and hopped on skiatook and the hybrids were biting fast when we let down and gone in about 5 minutes. I hopped around every spot that I know was holding fish and we pulled one to two fish out of each spot we ended the day with eight one of them a whopping 6.8 pounds. And we had a couple get off one of them broke a line then one of them tangled us up made a big mess. I was working with a tangle and one of them got on the line down below and just sunk a hook in my finger. They’re around. 44 feet deep works best maybe 40 as well. Hard to predict how it’s going to go but they were hungry this evening. Water temp 79 fishing some magnum size Shad.
Fish On! Fishonok.com. We had another consistent good outing at Fort Gibson today for Blue catfish fulfilling a gift certificate for a party of two. We got to the dock and they took off to cool off and I didn’t get Photos so I did something a little different with the photo for a change. I don’t know if many people are posting catfish right now but I’ve had several requests and I’m getting them done nice and fast.Fishing in current, water temperature pushing 80°, cut gizzard shad. six rod and reels and they keep you hopping. Producing 4 gallons of fillets. I’ve always had fun catching these and running water, or striper or anything else I can get in the river.
