sandbass trip on fort Gibson today, and we did good enough.. I would find some fish on sonar and we would catch some fish. And they would get pretty crazy a couple of times but mostly just steady and we had to work harder to get the presentation right. They would get going and then they would want to die off. I did move around more than usual and that always gives me useful information. There is a few days still open and Dave has quite a few days available as well just call me if you need a trip 918-724-6786. Visit my website fishonok.com it’s been updated and we’ve got some new stuff on there.

I had the pleasure of guiding Brian and Alan into some of the best sandbass fishing I guess I’ve ever seen. At least till the next trip 🙂 I didn’t see a whole lot of spoonbill stacked up on my way in but I started marking Sandbass in several areas we decided to try that. The first stop was a little slow so I gave it five minutes we moved to another spot and they swarmed us nonstop action for couple hours till we had our chest of fish! Large females a plenty. Two nice hybrids. Nice powerful fish. Artificial and live bait. Left them biting. I would highly recommend trying it. Especially for the kiddos.

FISH ON! FISHING IS GOOD AS IT GETS. Right now 50 pound fish no problem guaranteed. Catch a hundred fish,,not a problem,, fill up the cooler. Time to book!
Me and my good friend David Clark went out to The grand River today and had a good time catching big spoonbill and lots of sandbass , A nice hybrid which have been more of them this year as well. It didn’t even take 30 seconds to hammer the first fish and it just went on like that pretty much across the board. I went on to get some catfish as well in case anyone needs any. The sandbass in particular is quite addicting to catch it’s just every cast and the spoonbill are massive and powerful. Call me to book your trip I still have a lot of openings this month.

Made a trip to Ft Gibson low water area today for some very awesome ladies from National Wild Turkey Federation. They worked hard and kept the lines going even in rough conditions. Evelyn organized the trip and we did good. I went back to area I had scouted and Bob was there so it had to be good. It worked for awhile and they scattered we took a little break then went on to find more fish. Ended up finding about 200 fish in one big pile and it was done quickly. Filled all the tags and went thru the measurements on the fish and then went on to drop the hammer on nonstop white bass action. Cleaned 40 of those could have had a 100 if needed them. took a ton of photos lol. Call me if you’d like to book a trip and we will give it a shot.

I did a scouting trip to Oologah today and went up verdigris river to a few honey holes and got us into a spot that yielded the easiest snagging experience I’ve ever seen. I’ve been keeping an eye on it for years now and it’s consistent. And the catfish is usually on fire. Right now, could do a combo trip no problem for the right kind of people. There are a lot of fishing options out there. This is just one of them. The fish are not as fat as the ones in the lakes, but they are same length and just as strong or stronger. What I like about it is you can hit one every cast sometimes take 2 casts, but I hit 3 fish on one cast and hooked up good on the 3rd one. My buddy went to reel in to help and he hit one you basically couldn’t miss. So, there are a lot of good fishing opportunities right now for white bass, Oklahoma spoonbill and blue catfish. Call me for a guided trip. They were in about 6 to 12 ft of running water and undisturbed. In fact, we had eagles and birds beavers and flat head catfish in tree roots. It was a pretty wild day.
