Fort Gibson lake, Mazie Landing, low-water kind of day again. I’ve been there about every day and see a lot of changes every day whole bunch of bait and fish everywhere. I had Gift certificate customers that got a variety of fishing techniques and fish. We started off with spoonbill and it was good I could not pass that up. We moved on to targeting sandbass with Live Bait and the bite was pretty finicky mid day with no water flow and a ton of fishing pressure. We were doing OK with Bait for a while and then they would move away from the boat and I moved a couple of times with a similar result I don’t think we could keep enough bait in the water to hold them. We moved on to trolling lures which was working pretty good And I got to drive around and look at everything on sonar carefully while catching fish. Then we set up on an area and catfish were just hitting soon as we could put the bait.

Ft. Gibson the Sand bass fishing has been incredible. So they’ve had the water flow off a lot the last few trips, and the bite can vary a little but it’s always on. Everything is bottom oriented they want a really slow presentation if they’re being timid but if the sun comes out and they decide to get busy a faster presentation with a few stops can get the job done were using live bait. Today was 5 to 8 feet of water. I cleaned 123 fish and we threw back another 23. We had an incredible 4 pound sandbass, and an incredible 4 1/2 pound hybrid. We also had a lot of smaller fish it varies a little day to day. Good deal loving it.

We had a decent day on Fort Gibson today for spawning sandbass again! My customers were busy in the afternoon so we went on with our morning trip and we got it done quickly. Wind got up and everyone got cold. It was a one to remember. Long-standing excellent Fish On customers Mike, and his clients Scott, Cole, and Jake. Thanks for using our service at FishOn. Cleaned 48 fish threw a few back. Went to get some lunch. Bite was good on first stop fishing a mud line, water flow has been low and fish seem to like the middle better. They school up and circle boat and it’s just nonstop action. Lots of bait needed, call me and let’s get on them before it’s done!

Big day on Ft Gibson we did a spoonbill sandbass combo trip and we was riding heavy with extra friends 7 passengers to be exact!. Decided busting waves wasn’t much fun trolling so we headed for the sandies and that worked good. They was real particular about how they wanted to bite when we started but it was steady. The it really turned on last couple hours we was there. We fished out in middle of channel since water flow was low. 10ft gravel bottom. Cleaned 98 fish and released at least 15. A good day with good friends Richard Arnold, Russel Gilstrap family and friends. Thank you. I’m glad we got to make time to hit the sandbass run again this year!!!

Ft. Gibson Lake. Thanks for the calls today and I’ve got more days available. The sandbass is good as it can get. Spoonbill still available and skiatook trips are an option as well. Today I had long term FISH ON client Nathan and hillcrest crew. Got a little competition going with another crew Friday so we hit them pretty hard. Landed on fish and never moved it was real good. We boated 160 fish and I cleaned 145 of them netting 7 gallons of fillets, Glad it worked out and thank you for using Fish on guide service.
