Fish On! 4-15-24 Client today wanted to try for some striper on Keystone, I headed up lake on plane looking for some sonar chatter and found it. We got one on a downline 🙂 I scanned that entire leg of the lake, noted that about 80percent of the bait that was there a month ago had moved on up and most of the striper were out as well just a few left hanging around in staging areas. Noted a few very scattered paddlefish. We were not targeting catfish but there were a few of those around as well. Fish would hang around the boat a little but most wanted to push away from boat. We went on to do some casting, cut bait, and trolling umbrellas produced another striper as well, we also caught a white bass and 5 or 6 catfish up to 12lbs. Fishing was pretty slow we called it and headed in for lunch.

Fish On! 4-14-24 Low water area Ft Gibson, Fishing is on fire everything is jammed in a tight area of the lake. Spoonbill, white bass, hybrid striper, blue cat, Person can catch fish nonstop this month and it just go's on and on. Have to be crazy not to check it out.. We fished 7 ft of water today noted water temps at 63 to 65 degrees. No generation over the weekend fish are patiently waiting for some water flow and feeding like crazy. The spawn is ahead of schedule, started earlier than I can ever recall. Haven't had our usual flood this year either. 66 white bass, 29 blue cat and 2 hybrids today with a larger 6lb hybrid being a reel line screamer. The blues have been up on numbers the last couple trips. Not trying them too hard just setting some sucker lines while we fish the sandbass. The blues make a lot more meat a heck of a lot faster and its good to get more variety. Book anytime at fishonok.com or give me a shout. Didn't try the bills today but trust me they are there and the reports are very good.

Fish On! 4-13-24 book anytime at fishonok.com. Ft Gibson low water area today. Thanks Scott for fishing with me today! We started on some white bass action and it was a decent bite at least 2hrs once they stopped everyone stopped catching I've seen that happen before. The catfish bite was above par we caught 15 of those just where we were anchored up. We went on the catch 5 more blues after we give up the white bass. It was a great trip plenty of fish and action Adler was killin it on grabbing them poles and gettin er done 🙂 turtle was released unharmed 🙂 16,17,23,24 are days still open for white bass spawn.

Fish On! Thanks Robert You and your team were an absolute blessing to have out today. Thank you so much for choosing my service. We started out doing a little spoonbill trolling it was pretty slow. We had 2 fish on and both of the darned things managed to escape the hook after we busted up that school of fish they were wild and dodging the hooks, We decided to go on to the white bass portion of the trip I did a little looking and feeling around with the current and settled on a place. It took a while to get them swarming around the boat but when they did it was hammer time. I had 5 experienced fisherman today and we flat packed the cooler, the fish was all going to different homes so I just made sure we got plenty to send home for everyone. We also fished till the last bait, honestly with that many lines hammering it didn't take long to boat over 200 fish. I cleaned 165 of them which is more than usual. There was so much boat traffic and action going I couldn't set the catfish lines. Bait was a little harder to catch today I think they cut off the water and some of them went out in the channel. I'm moving the start time up a little over the weekend and future trips to get a little more fish time to play around. Tip for today if there is some current try to find some slack water along the edges of the channel for downlines, use florocorbon leaders and live shad. If the water is off fish middle of channel and anchor up the boat so it can't blow around and scare the fish. I've still got openings 16,17,23,24 this month. We can target paddlefish, White bass, and Catfish. Sometimes we can get all three on one session but things have to be just right to make that happen. Book anytime at fishonok.com

Fish On! Fishonok.com Back to upper Ft. Gibson today, water had dropped a little and no trash floating no current again similar to weekend. Water temp running 63/65 degrees. We wanted some spoonbill today and I headed over to a quite place with no traffic the numbers had really picked up at that spot we got that done pretty quick in 20ft of water then moved on to some white bass fishing, the first stop took awhile to get them going. Without the flow we are just fishing middle of the channel and I'm using livescope to locate them. Both stops were 14ft of water fishing live shad on downlines. I also set 3 catfish lines and we got those on every stop as well. The bite was good and fast but the fish were smaller. We boxed about 30 of them and went in search for bigger fish but all the stops yielded male white bass. Out of the 70 or more we boated only a couple female fish today. We had fun whacking them. 16th, 17th, 23rd, and 24th are still open. Time to play hookey and go fishing while its still on 🙂 The spoonbill fishing is real good now. I stay rigged for all 3 species at the moment. Long term fish on clients today, Big thanks to Danna and Dale for supporting my service! No hero photos today on the fish count we released the majority of them. I cleaned 36 whites, 12 blues and released the spoonbill to complete its spawn.
