Fish On! 3-24-24 Ended a 7 day series of fishing trips at Keystone yesterday with James organizing the party. Thanks for booking with my service. The striper were not biting perfect, big schools of them would come thru and they loved looking at the baits and hanging around the boat but didn't bite great. We boxed 13 of them threw back a few small ones and only a couple real large ones. For sure the bigger striper didn't want to bite the ones that did a slow presentation is what got them. There is absolutely no shortage of stripers in the lake at the moment. I've just been stopping on bait schools in deeper water running splasher and fishing downlines with a variety of bait sizes and chunk shad. Trolling deep running plugs or umbrellas would work as well if your not a bait kind of guy. Water temp was still 56. We moved on to slam some catfish since striper were slow and bigger CF were biting good all of them 6 to 10lb range fishing the mud line. We got 13 of those as well. Glad we didn't cancel, it was fun!even if we did have to grind on them. For now the mud is staying on up in the river. Lake conditions are still good, Bait has been difficult to catch mid day or evening.
