Fish On! Headed out on the main lake at sooner this morning and got on some really big blowups it's been like that on cloudy days just about every fish in the lake is down there be a good time to get some of them perch out. We were fishing for hybrid as usual although I'm not scowering on them. Fishing live bait they either come up to the boat or they don't. Free lines is what got them again so they sure don't want to come near the boat . They're running about 20 to 25 feet over open water constantly moving. I've been targeting some blue cat as well just to make sure we get some some big photo fish even on tough days. We had a variety of hybrid, white perch, blues and channel. I couldn't hardly catch a catfish shorter than 30 inches today we ended up with a 24 pound and a 28 pound along with a whole lot of 12 to 16 pound blues. Nice little set of hybrids they would hit the same free line indicating they're still tough bite like it has been the last few days All the hybrid were caught on the starboard line in the rear of the boat .We had a real good time real fun. Thanks Lisa for organizing the event thanks Robert for being good customer and patient. Catfish were best in 40 feet. Give me a shout I'm ready to book some catfish trips we're on them at Oologah, and Sooner. And can get on them easy enough at Keystone.

Fish On! Fishonok.com, 11-30-23 Sooner lake trip again yesterday much different conditions with clouds rain and fairly strong wind brought out mass blowups on the main lake with thousands of birds and fish to be had, however found Hybrid were still boat shy and not biting much they may just have a eye for the small lake baits and seem to just rove around all day chasing them, They would push about 60ft away from the boat and hang around about 5 minutes or so before clearing out. I changed positions a lot this morning and finally settled on fishing for Catfish and soaking up perch for fillers along with some nice hybirds, hybirds came on artificial lures as well as shad on freelines last couple days and have been difficult to say the least. Caught hybrids in 22ft of water as well as 30, 60 and 70ft. Water temps were 48, no generation and no fill pump. Thanks Kent for loading up on what we could gather for your family. I've still got a few more trips to grind thru and most of December is open. I'll wrap this up within about a week is what I'm thinking and start doing Catfish trips for winter. Book ahead of time if weather is foul we will move dates. Foul weather on sooner lake is the fishing preference.

Sooner Lake 11/29/2023 Fishing live bait and looking for hybrid stripers finiky 2 days now. Opted to fish catfish and catch as many perch as possible while waiting on the beasts to arrive. Calm glass waters clear bright sky and warm weather didn't exactly motivate the hybrids to bite although we caught a nice one along with a couple real nice saugeye and several catfish. Cleaned a couple gallons of perch about 80. Thanks Kent will see what today brings!

FISH ON! Late post from 11-28-23 been behind on things due to truck failure. We headed out on Sooner Lake today to find a tough bite where I been catchin, even the perch were off. Moved on in search of some action and found some on the Main Lake over 45 to 55ft of water, unfortunately Hybrids were boat shy we had one that took a bait but everything else was perch and they were stuffed full of threadfin shad and it was pretty hard to get them to hit so whatever makes fish finiky was in full swing. We were fishing near some catfish hangouts so I set some lines for those baited with cut perch and shad, they were taking the bait and content just laying there clamped down on it. We would go to move and have a couple on or a single more than once. I think we got 7 large catfish up to 16lbs and that just made our day, One biggin tore off on the way in. We released most of them opting to keep a couple channel cat and blues. Cleaned 60 perch making up couple gallons of good eating fish. There's not any generation on the lake far as I can tell and I think the pump in is still off. A winter pattern is in full swing at this point. Thanks to all my customers and, Mark good to see you and Marlin getting along good, We will do it again sometime. I figured the fish probably started feeding by the time we left. One thing for sure Hybrids didn't like the warming trend with the south wind.

Fish On! Another reeler of a day on Sooner bigger fish were on good this morning easily limiting my customers on overs along with 18 shorter hybrids 25 perch one saugeye and a couple of channel catfish. Fishing in bait schools along the edge of the channel worked just fine. Water temperature was 48° throughout and we caught a Lotta fish on both sides of the lake. Seem like about 33 feet was the ticket on both sides.
