Fish ON! 4/30/24 Upper Ft. Gibson. Water was up about 5ft due to rain but it never seems to matter In this case it just made the fishing BETTER. 2 hours and we rocked in 100 sandbass and 40 catifsh. I didn't have work the following day so we just fished and cleaned fish all day about same as usual 🙂 Water temps was 66. Generation schedules are a little unpredictable, be aware of rising and falling water and debris at times. Really was a perfect easy one stop shop today. There is no end in sight. I got a late start on this season so I'll probably go later. Big thanks to Leon for organizing the event and bringing his son and grandkids out today. It's only time of year I have to pull off and leave fish biting. If I got openings I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking a day with me and checking it out! Second Boat Dave Clark will have some openings as well. I know rain has been in the forecast and we been playing it safe thus far for many trips. Also there hasn't been a day I couldn't have got the trip in. Just have to do afternoon if its raining morning or morning if its raining afternoon. Usually we will not get a very accurate forecast till the day of service. We had a ton of fun on this outing.

Been Playing it safe with weather missed a few days, I'll work harder to keep my blog updated. been busy with parents as well. Whole lotta dr apps. lately :)

Fish On! Guided NWTF women's group today and friends for Paddlefish. They were generating but current wasn't too strong. I started off in 22 to 36ft of water, very peaceful large and pretty spot to troll around, we hit a male fish that flat gave us a fight, big female with eggs as well. Later we moved up to 18ft of water and finished our limit. It was pretty slow but it was very rewarding to get our fish get them cleaned up and bagged. One of them is going to terry's taxidermy to be mounted European style, that made me happy. We hit some smaller fish up shallow perfect for eating. Most fish still have eggs. We are finally starting to get some fresh water and flow. Fishing remains good on White bass, Paddlefish and Catfish. Looking forward to going back tomorrow. There's a lot of big Shad now around the marina but plenty of size that will work for sandbass as well. They are living much better last few days. We may have some openings just check in. I'll have to start doing some pre scheduled Skiatook trips soon but this is still going good below the low water. Thanks Evely for making it possible!

4-23-24 Lowwater dam Ft. Gibson, Water Temp 63, depth 12ft, fishing live shad on downlines. When we arrived today they were generating upstream had some current. Settled into a slack water area and the big female fish was still there it was instant bite and stayed that way till we rolled it up. Thanks Dennis for coming out again this year. We boxed 90 and threw back 30 or more. Good outing for a couple anglers. Fish were still full of eggs if there is an end in sight I don't see it. Ive got another week of trips here at least and pretty booked up on my boat but Dave said he could run some calls if anyone wants to get on em. All the trips have been sucessful all of them have been fun.

Fish On! Had Dave R. And family out again for same action as last year here at the low water Ft. Gibson. They had just started a little generation when I arrived we snatched a few fish before the current became overwhelming, I adjusted locations a couple times till I got what I wanted. Got the fish baited in and swarming. Very large white bass today. Big fish was a whopping 4lbs. Most still had eggs. Water temp running 62, fishing 12ft of water. Bite was in full swing by noon, we called it shortly after boating 112 white bass and 4 blues. Wasn't really targeting blues today but they hit our downlines. They had video and family pics going so I didn't have to do much with camera today.

Fish On! Fort Gibson again today all the way up low water area. Guided a full day father son combo trip today. We settled down on what I think was the fastest white bass bite I've ever seen. We didn't even have to lower the Bait could just hang it over the side of the boat on the surface and they would smoke it top water right there within an arm's reach. We boxed over 111 whites in a couple of hours. In that area I was fishing water 61° water. And naturally since I needed them the blue cat we're not there today. I went on down the river and settled in 31 foot of water fishing 64° stained water and we got to ripping on some catfish pretty quick. We boxed a limit those got everything cleaned up and headed home. Big Fish today was 14 pounds we had another one about the same size got up under the boat and shook loose. Bait was fairly difficult to catch but got er done same as usual. Water in that river is clean and clear even in Mazie Landing bay. Thanks everybody for supporting my business it's how I make a living Fish On anytime at fishon ok.com. My phone doesn't work very good down on that river but I'll call you back or message you.
