Sooner Lake Fishing Guides Report

07-23-17: We had a very slow day fishing for HYbrid/Stripers Wipers on Sooner Lake Ok;lahoma. We got a good early start but that did not help any. There were storms in the area and that kept the wind direction constanly changing. We ended the day just one short of being Skunked on Hybrid/Stripers Wipers. We did catch some Drum, Catfish and White perch. Not sure what was going on. I did find some good schools of what looked like HYbrid/Striper Wipers but we could not get them to bite. The fish we caught were on downlines in 30 to 35fow. Water temp is 86 degs. All on live Shad. See my Facebook page for pics.

06-15-17: We had another just OK day on Skiatook fishing for Hybrid/Stripers. It took us a couple stops before we landed our first HYbrid/Striper. After we got the first one in the boat it just kind of got steady there. When that died off we made a couple more stops before we found some active feeders again. But we caught a few there also and broke off a real nice one. Our last move was about like the others. We caught a few at first and then they moved on. We ended the day a couple short of our numbers limit but we had our size limit. Our big Hybrid/Striper was a real nice 7lber. Most the Hybrid/Stripers were caught on downlines in 27 to 32fow.
