Skiatook Lake

04-21-18: We had a pretty good day on Skiatook. Larry Wine and I did  a two boat trip for Jessie and family.We found the Hybrid/Stripers pretty quick and then it was just steady the rest of the morning. The rain came down pretty hard and got most  wet and cold but everyone stuck it our till we had our limits. We caught Hybrid/Stripers on Planner boards.freelines, and a few on downlines. Big Hybrid/Striper for the day was about 5lbs. Water temp is 56 degs. We caught most in 10fow. See my Facebook page for pics.

Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

04-20-18: We did a four boat trip today for Sandbass on Fort Gibson and it turned out reel good. Everyone caught alot of Sandbass. Most were caught on live Shad but some were caught trolling. We were in 10fow. Water temp. is 56degs. All that we caught were males. See my Facebook page for pics.

Skiatook Lake

04-18-18: Rick and I made a quick morning trip to Skiatook Lake to see if we could find some Hungry Hybrid/Stripers. We found them. The wind was howling so it did limit us on where we could fish. But we found the Hybrid/Stripers in about 15fow. All were caught on freelines and planner boards. Water temp. varied some, but was around 54degs. Big Hybrid/Striper was about 4lbs. Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

04-15-18: We had a slow day on Gibson fishing for Spoonbill. We started out where we left off yesterday but the Spoonbill had moved on us over night.. We went up stream first but did not find anything so we went downstream and found some. The cold front moved them about 5 miles back downstream. The water was 2 degs warmer there. We did catch some. The big fish for the day was about 45lbs. We caught them all by trolling divers. See my Facebook page for pics. .

Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

04-14-18: We had a good day on Fort Gibson fishing for Spooonbill. We caught some reel nice ones in the first hour, up to 46lbs, and then went looking for some Sandbass. We never did find a good school of Sandbass. We looked and fished pretty hard for them. We even tried trolling with live bait and lures with no luck. But we did see a few being caught, just not by us. All of the Spoonbill were caught by trolling Divers.Water temp. is 56degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

Lake Ouachita

04-05-18: I spent a week on Lake Ouachita. The Striper Fishing was pretty good. Some days it was reel good and other days it was just ok. Most of the Stripers we caught were in 18fow. All on live Shad. Some on freelines and some on downlines. Water temp. vaired from 56degs to 60degs though out the week. See my Facebook Page for pics and video.

lake Oologah

04-02-18: Rick and I made a trip to Oologah today to get some bait for Ouachita and do a little Catfishing. We took a few baits with us for our Catfishing and it paid off, cause it was cold this morning. And would of been real cold throwing the cast net. We found the Catfish in 9fow all were caught on fresh cut bait. Water temp. has dropped from 55degs to 48degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

03-31-18; We had a reel good day on Fort Gibson. Ron and Penny wanted to catch some Spoonbill and then go Sandbass fishng. We did just that. We caught some reel nice Spoonbill up to 56lbs, with some more close behind. then we went Sandbass fishing and found some hungry ones there. We caught those using small shad and minnows. We were in about 10fow for the Sandbass and 25fow for the Spoonbill trolling divers.  water temp. is 55degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

lake Oologah

03-30-18: We had a pretty good day today fishing for Catfish on Oologah Lake with Ron and Penny. It took a couple stops before found some activbe feeders. We caught several real nice cleaners with the biggest being 5lbs. We missed a whole lot for some reason. We were in 10fow using fresh cut Shad. Water temp. is 55degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

Oologah/Fort Gibson

03-28-18: I did two scout trips today. This morning we went to Oologah to find some Catfish and some larger bait for my trip to Ouachita. We found the Catfish but not a whole lot. Big Kitty was about 7lbs. We caught them all on fresh cut Shad in about 15fow. This afternoon I went to Fort Gibson with Larry to find some Sandbass. They were running a bunch of water but we found some real nice ones in the eddys. And we caught a nice Hybrid as a bonus. All of the Sandbass were caught on live Shad. Water temp at both lakes was 55degs. Water is rising at Fort Gibson. The boat ramops were barley useable. See my Facebook page for pics.

Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

03-25-18: We had a good day on Fort Gibson snagging for Spoonbill. It was just steady all morning. Most of the Spoonbill were between 30 to 40lbs. They started running some water so we decided to make a move with a little bit to go. On our last pass we snagged the biggest one of the day. It was a real nice 55lber. We did not try for any Sandbass or Catfish. Water temp. is still climbing, its at 55degs. All of our Spoonbill were caught trolling. See my Facebook page for pics.

Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

03-24-18: I did two trips on Fort Gibson today, and both Spoonbill trips were REEL good. we caught several on each trip between 45 to 50lbs, alot of females. But the Catfish and Sandbass parts of the trips not good at all. We only got a couple bites on the Catfishing and then went snagging. We caught two little Sandbass on the second trip and then went snagging. However I did see some other anglers celaning alot of Sandbass. Water temp ranged from 53 this morning to 60 late this afternoon. All spoonbill were caught trolling. See my Facebook page for pics.

Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

03-23-18: We had a reel good day on Fort Gibson. It was the best day of the year on the number of Spoonbill we caught. It took a couple stops but when we found them they were willing to play. They were really scattered but the trolling keeps you moving around for them. After they got tired we went looking for some Sandbass. We found a few of those also. Big Spoonbill for the day was 50lbs. Most were between 30 to 45lbs. Water temp. is 53degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

03-22-18: I did two trips today. The morning trip was alittle slow but we ket looking and finally found some nice Spoonbill. The afternoon trip was better. We caught our Spoonbill pretty quick and then went lookng for some Sandbass. We found those also. We caught the Spoonbill trolling Divers and we caught the Sandbass trollling crank baits and on live Shad in 8fow. All of the Spoonbill were caught in 20fow. Big spoonbill was 40lbs. Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

03-21-18: We had a pretty good day on Fort Gibson. We caught some nice Spoonbill/Paddlefish fairly quick and then decided to go after some Sandbass. I thought that might be difficult becuase they were realeasing a bunch of water. And it was.They were releasing about 20k CFMS and that made for alot of current. We only found a couple and that was it. We tried several eddys and some slow trolling but nothing produce. We ended up with just a couple Sandbass. Water temp. has went back to 50 degs. Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

03-20-18: We had a reel good day on Fort Gibson today with a great family. We started out catching some nice Spoonbill, up to 46lbs. Then we switched over and went and caught some decent Catfish. After that we switched again and went and caught some decent Sandbass. The Spoonbill were caught trolling divers, the Catfish were caught on fresh cut Shad and the Sandbass were caught trolling with live 2' shad at about .5mph. Water temp. is 52degs. lake Oologah

03-19-18: Rick and I needed some bait for our up coming trip to Lake Ouachita and some Catfish for a Catfish fry while there. We got a few Shad and then went Catishing. We found some nice Catfish but the wind started howling so it cut our trip short without all of th bait we wanted. The bait we found were in 30fow. The Catfish were caught in 20fow on fresh cut Shad. Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

03-17-18: FISH ON I did two trips today on Fort Gibson snagging for Spoonbill/Paddlefish. Both trips had reel good quality and quanity. Big fish for the morning trip was 65lbs the big fish for the afternoon was 56lbs. We caught the Spoonbill trolling divers at about 3.5mph. They started running water mid morning and that scattered the Spoonbill pretty good. The females have started moving up. We caught just as many females as males. Most were caught in 25 to 32fow. Spoonbill/Paddlefish on Fort Gibson

03-16-18: We had a pretty good day on Fort Gibson snagging for Spoonbill/Paddlefish. We caught some decent Spoonbill up to 56lbs, but most were males. Then went fishing for some Catfish and Sandbass. We found some Catfish but only one Sandbass. The Spoonbill were really scattered today. The water temp. is from 51 degs to 53 degs. The Spoonbill were in 30fow and the Catfish were in 15fow. lake Oologah

03-13-18: Rick and I had a reel good day on Oolagah today. We started out Spoonbill snagging and caught some reel nice Spoonbill. Our biggest was 70lbs and the smallest was 50lbs. We were in 30fow. We switched over to Catfish and caught several of those. We caught the Blues in 15fow all on fresh cut Shad. Our biggest was abouyt 6lbs and smallest was 2lbs. Water temp. is 49degs.
