Fishing Reports
October
Slow windy day. I thought we would repeat from the good fishing trip I had on Friday, but I
was wrong. The wind was suppose to be 5 to 10 mph out of the NW. Instead it was 25mph out of the North. It was very hard fishing the locations where I thought the fish should be. It was to windy to fish the spot where I was on Friday. We kept moving till we did find some fish but it was pretty slow. We marked a lot of fish but they just were not very active. We did have a good time dodging some waves and did catch a few fish, just quite not as many as we were hoping for. All were caught on downlines in 22 to 30ft of water, and the temp. is 66deg.
FISH ON!!!!! Got back from vacation and decided to use the last day of it to do some fishing. So myself and a
friend went up to Skiatook for a few hours and had a great time. Not sure how many we ended up with but it was somewhere between 20 to 30. We didn't keep any so it was hard to keep count. We only fished for about 4 hours and the first two hours we only caught a couple of fish. The last two hours were none stop. We had several doubles(pic on right) and a few triples. Most fish were in 22 to 24ft all but a few on downlines. Water temp. is now 66deg.
FISH ON!!!!
A good slow steady day. We didn't catch a whole lot of fish but we did catch some. It was a beauti
ful day to be on the water with very little boat traffic. We ended the day with 14 fish with 10 of them being Hybrids. We missed several for some reason. They would hit real hard be on for a while and then come off. The action did slow down the later it got. Most of the fish came between 1 and 4 pm. All of the fish were on downlines, except for a couple. We were in 28 to 35 ft of water and the temp. is 76deg.
FISH ON
Yee Haaa, What a week. 8 Boats from the Tulsa area went to Port O' Connor TX. this year, and did we ever
catch fish. The inshore fishing was very slow, so this year we went off shore to some oil rigs to catch most of our fish. Our boat caught around 100 Red Snapper, about 15 Ling and numerous other fish. We had great weather and once we figured out where the fish were, it was almost none stop until you would get tired of catching. My biggest Red Snapper was around 13lbs. And my biggest Ling was 75lbs. The sharks were always around and one angler in another boat did get his hand bit when trying release one(9 stitches).
