Sooner Lake Oklahoma - Aug 27, 08

FISH ON!!!! Fished for about 4 hours and caught about 25 Hybrids. They were all between 2 to 4 lbs, with no big ones. They are still very aggressive and really on the move. We anchored up on some fish and caught some right away. Then they moved. We finally pulled anchor and started trolling around and found some more active feeders. They were in 30 to 38 ft of water and the temp was 83 deg. All were caught on downlines.

Sooner Lake Oklahoma - Aug 24, 08

FISH ON!!! Almost as good as yesterday but not quite. It may of been as good, we just didn't keep very many fish and its hard to keep count. We did at least catch 25 to 30 Hybrids. No Stripers today. They were on the move again. At one point though we had six fish in the bottom of the boat. Then they were gone. They were a little on the small side. Most were between 2 to 3 lbs. With a couple that were close to 4lbs. We had several doubles and triples, and then nothing. Again you could almost call it everytime by looking at the locator. We were in 30 to 35 ft of water and the temp. is 82deg. Most were caught on downline and a few on freelines.

Sooner Lake Oklahoma - Aug 23, 08

FISH ON!!!! What a great day on the water. It started out real fast then slowed down for a couple of hours and then really picked up again. We finished the day with 35 to 40 Hybrids and one 9lb Striper. Several times we had two to three on at once. They were really schooled up. You were either on them or not. You could almost call everytime you would catch one by looking at the locator. But they were really on the move. We had to keep trolling around to try to stay on them. All but a few were caught on downlines in 30 to 35 ft of water. The Striper and a few Hybrids were caught on a freeline out the back. Water temp. was 82 deg.

Skiatook Lake Oklahoma - Aug 16, 08

Went to Skiatook for three hours and caught three fish. None of them being what we were looking for. Tried a little bit of everything from chumming live bait to downrigging. We marked lots of fish just no takers. The water temp.  was 81deg, and we tried all different depths.

Ouray - Aug 14, 08

Spent a week of VC time in Ouray Colorado. It was beautiful. Saw a lot of wild life including a Golden Eagle and Black Bear. Rented jeeps and went to three different summits. The highest we got was 12,800 ft. Went by Blue Mesa reservoir and it was beautiful. May have to try it out some time.

Fish On! Not quite as good as it had been. We caught between 15 to 20 Hybrids. We weren't keeping any so it was hard to get a good count. They were very aggressive and for there size, they  were really fun to catch. All were between 2 to 3 lbs. We caught them all on dwonlines in 25 to 32 ft of water. The water temp. was 86deg with the wind out of the E.

FISH ON!!!!  Not quite as good as the last time, but it was still a good trip. We caught around 25 Hybrids. They were on the small side.  Most were between 2 to 3 lbs and all were caught on downlines in 28 to 32ft of water. It started out kinda fast and then it slowed down to just steady. It was a real pleasure to fish with a repeat customer and his family.  I would like to thank Major Emmons for his service to our country.

FISH ON!!!!  As my good friend Tony Hughes would say " We wacked em pretty good".  My long time friend Steve White and I finally got to go fishing together  again and we ended up doing pretty good. We started out catching some pretty small fish and kept moving around till we found some decent fish. They were really schooled up. We had to stay right on top of them to keep them going. There was a couple of times when we couldn't get all of our poles in the water. That would last for a while and then it would slow down as the school moved on. We ended up with somewhere around 40 fish. We just kept enough for a fish fry so we didn't get a good count. The biggest was 4lbs but most were 3 to 4lbs.  Most of the fish were caught in 28 to 32 ft. of water on downlines  and the lake water temp was 86deg. Plus it was 104 in the boat,  or just plain HOT.( I saw a dog chasing a rabbit and they were both walking!!)
