Skiatook Lake Oklahoma - Jun 27, 08

Fish On!  Not a bad day just not really good. We ended up with22 fish with 17 Hybrids . The biggest Hybrid was about 6lbs. We had a couple of them. Most were in the 2 to 4lbs range. It started out pretty fast right after a storm passed and then the wind picked up and kept us from moving around a lot. We would pick up a couple and then they would be gone. At the end of the day we had a good mess of fish. They were in 15 to 23ft. We caught them on downlines and freelines. It was a birthday present for Bob and I was glade to be a part of it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB!!!!

Mixed bag of fish. Our first six fish were all different. We had Blue cat, Channel cat, Drum,Sandbass, Large mouth, and Small mouth. Then we finally found some Hybrids. We ended up with 17 fish but only 7 or 8 of the them were Hybrids. The water temp. has went down some to 79deg. We were in 10 to 20ft of water and it is still murky. Only one ramp is open on Skiatook and it is Black dog.

FISH ON!!! started out kinda slow and then picked up pretty good. We started out catching some Catfish and a few Hybrids and then we moved a couple of times and found some really good Hybrids. They were not monsters but they were some of the bigger fish we had caught in a while. We ended up with 30 fish with 20 of them being Hybrids. The Hybrids ranged from 3 to 6 lb, with a good amount of them in the 4 to 5 lb range. We were fishing in 15 to 25 ft of water and the water temp. is 81deg.  Most came on downlines with a few on freelines with split shot. The lake seems to be going down some.  And it was a real pleasure being out with a family that enjoyes the outdoors.

A little slow. But not bad.  It seemed slowed but after a little over two hours we had 8 decent fish with the biggest being a 6lber.  We looked around at first to try a few different spots that had been holding fish and then went to the spot that had been doing good late in the evening. They were there. It started out with a double and then slowed down. They were mainly hitting on freelines with small split shot. Most came in 15 to 20ft of water.

FISH ON!! Not quite as good as the day before but it was pretty steady. After three hours we  ended up with 20 fish with 15 of them being decent Hybrids. The biggest was right at 5lbs. We had a couple of doubles,  most fish were between 2 to 3lbs. It was a beautiful afternoon with very little wind. We were catching them on freelines and downlines in 15 to 20ft of water. The water is still rising and they have closed down some of the boat ramps. The water temp. is 81deg.

FISH ON!!!. What a great afternoon. It was only a 3 hour trip but we caught 25 to 30 nice Hybrids in the time we were out. We didn't keep any fish so we kinda lost count. We had numerous doubles and some triples. They were all just about the same size. The biggest was about 4lbs, but the rest were 2 to 3lbs. We caught them on downlines and freelines. They were very aggresive when they hit the bait. We were in 20 to 25ft of water. The water temp has came up some to 81deg.

Mixed Bag. It was a pretty good day of catching just not all Hybrids. At the end of the day we had 17 fish, but it was a combination of just about every fish in the lake. We had Blues, Channels, Crappie, Sandbass, and Hybrids. The biggest fish of the day was about a 4lb Hybrid. The rest of the Hybrids were on the small side. We caught them on live shad and cut bait. We caught some of the Hybrids by hooking the shad in  the tail. That seems to give the bait a little more action when the action is slow. The crappie were caught on 3 in. shad so they were pretty good size. We were in 20 to 25 ft of water and the temp. is 77deg. The lake is still rising some and is very murky.

A little slow. The wind was blowing again pretty good. We did manage to catch 10 to 15 fish, in 20 to 25ft of water but some were on the small side. We were not keeping any, so I lost count. It started out good and then slowed way down. Ross and his boys had to leave early, so after dropping them off, I still had bait and daylight so I went back out for a hour or so. Caught some more in 10 to 15ft of water on freelines and downlines. Water temp is 77 deg. and the lake is about 8ft above normal.

Slow and windy or Windy and slow. I am not sure which one came first but it was both.  The white caps were white capping. It was a pretty much steady 30mph all day. We did manage to catch a few.  We had some come off on the way to the boat. We would check our baits and they would be chewed up. The rocking from the boat was keeping us from seeing the hits. Most fish were caught in 20ft of water and the water temp. is 77deg.

Skiatook Lake Oklahoma - Jun 03, 08

A bad day of catching.  We caught four fish in the first 15 minutes and I thought this is going to be a real good day. Then we didn't catch another fish the rest of the day. I tried alittle bit of everything. The 30 to 35mph really did hamper as to where and to how we could fish.  I did find another school of  fish but the anchor pulled thru them and then they were gone. That is when I started using two anchors. It beat being at work, but not by much.

A mixed bag of fish. Our first six fish were all different species. We had Sandbass, Bluecat,Channel cat, drum,Small mouth and Large mouth, then we finally started catching some Hybrids. It was a fairly slow day for Hybrids but we ended up with 16 fish total. With 7 or 8 of them Hybrids. The water temp. has dropped some to 79deg. We were in 10 to 20ft of water most of the afternoon.

Skiatook Lake Oklahoma - Jun 01, 08

Lots of Storms. What a difference a day makes. Started out in the same location as yesterday and not a bite. Went to another good spot and not a bite. Finally, we caught a small sandbass at out fourth spot, but that was it. Then the storms came with 60mph winds.  Luckily we had seen them coming and had loaded the boat and were setting in the truck when it hit. After about two hours we decided it was over and went back out for a couple of more hours of fishing. We went back to the original spot where we had started off and found some active feeders. We ended the day with 11 fish . They were a  little deeper than yesterday. We caught them on freelines and downlines in 20 to 25ft of water.
