Fishing Reports
December
FISH ON!!! My son and I were planning on going to Sooner today but changed our minds after we saw the
weather report for Sooner(snow and 22mph winds). So we went to Eufaula to go catfishing instead. It was a little wet and cool but not to bad. We started out fishing jugs and rod and reel but didn't do very good on the jugs so we just rod and reeled. We ended up with 25 decent fish with the biggest being a 10lber. Most were between 3 to 5lbs. We fished on the ouside bend of the river channel and threw some in the shallow water and some in the deeper water. We caught all on cut bait in 5 to 25ft of water. The water temp. was 42deg.
FISH ON!!!
FISH ON!!!! Fished with a good friend for the first time in a couple of years and had a real goo
d time. We fished from about 7 to noon and caught about 40 Hybrids/Stripers. The biggest Striper was 10lbs. The Hybrids ran from 3 to 4lbs. We did manage to catch a couple of green perch. One weighed 7.9lbs and the others were 5.7lbs and 4.3lbs. The water temp. at the boat ramp was 42deg and up in the channel it was 52deg. Most of the fish were caught on downlines and early on we caught some on freelines. They were in 15 to 25ft. The size of the bait did not seem to matter.
