Fishing Reports
October
Fish on!! Kinda a slow but good and steady. We didn't catch as many as the day before but we ended up with a
good mess of fish. By the time we quite we had caught about 25 . The biggest was 6lbs again. Alot of them were skinny. All but a couple of the fish were caught in 10ft or less of water. We caught them on downlines and freelines. The size of the shad did not seem to mater. The water temp is still 64ddeg.
FISH ON!!
Yee Haa, What a day of fishing. It started out a little slow but then it picked up and never slowed down. By the
end of the day we had 60 Hybrids and Stripers. We looked around little bit at first, but then when we found them it was almost constant action the rest of the afternoon. Most fish were caught on downlines but a few were on freelines. It didn't seem to matter the size of bait. The water temp is 65deg and the fish we were catching were in about 20 to 25ft of water. Plus it was a real pleasure to fish with a family who enjoyed just being out.
FISH ON!!!!!!
Slow Day. Started out slow and got slower. We did catch some in the first couple of hours but then it slowed way
down. My boat is in the shop for some warranty work, so we were in the Summers boat. Eeverything was fine, except we just never did find a group of good active feeders. The fish we caught were in about 9 ft of water. We marked a lot of fish in 30 ft but could not get them to bite. all of the fish caught were on free lines with split shot. Water temp was 78deg.
Yee HAA What a week of fishing. Took a week and went to Port O'OConnor TX and did a little salt water fishing.
There were five boats this year from the Tulsa area that made a 12 hour drive to catch some really big fish. My boat didn't catch any real big fish but a few others caught some 200 Lb plus shark. No Tarpon this year. Mainly caught some big bull reds. The biggest was about 45lbs. We fished for 4 days, had great weather, great company, great seafood and just about perfect fishing. The last afternoon we were there all five boats were fishing in the same location for the first time of the trip and all five boats had at least two fish on at once. It was some of the biggest reds I have seen caught in the three years we have been making the trip. It was well worth the 24 hours of driving.
