Fishing Reports
August
FISH ON!!!! Good day on CB. The fish were willing to bite and the fishermen were willing to catch. We ended up
with 30 Hybrids and 10 Catfish. The biggest fish were a couple of 6lb Hybrids. Most were in the 3 to 4 range. And we caught a couple of those toothey looking fish. We caught about half on downlines and the other half on straight freelines with on split shot or swivels. They were in 25ft to 18ft, and water temp. was 84deg. Very little boat traffic and it was a beautiful day with some good fishermen.
Fish On!!!!
FISH ON!!! What a great afternoon of fishing. It started out very fast, slowed down and then picked back up again.
I had three young boys in the boat(with there mom)with there lucky hats so that helped on the fish catching. The youngest even manged to take a 2 hour nap on moms lap when the fishing slowed down. The biggest Hybrid that was caught was 6 1/2 lbs and we had several in the 4 to 5lb range. We ended up with 15 fish. We missed a few on trying to decide who's turn it was. Overall it was a very good afternoon of fishing and catching. Water temp. has dropped some to 82deg. We were in 15 to 25ft of water most of the afternoon and all fish were either caught on down lines or freelines with split shot.
FISH ON!!!
FISH ON!!!Well it started off kinda slow, but ended with a very big bang. After weathering a few thunder
storms and a couple of dry spells, we caught the biggest Striper I have seen caught out of Sooner. We caught it and had three more on at the same time. Two of the other three came off. The third one is still hooked and swimming around with a Ugly Stick attached to his behind. The fourth one was this 25lber. He sure did seem on the skinney side. It measured 42in. long and had a 24in girth. I think for the length it should of been around 35lbs. It had a very big head. We tried to release it but it would not swim off. We first thought he was hung up, but from good experience I know there is nothing there to hang up on(82.68 blue) Then he started taking some drag and the fight was on. It was on a downline so that made it even more fun. It was the biggest fish he had ever caught and was very
proud of him. By the end of the day we had caught 35 Hybrids and a few more small Stripers. The water temp. is 86deg and we were in 35ft of water most of the day.
Fish ON!!!!
Not real fast but just a good day. We didn't catch a whole lot of fish but did manage around 20 to 25 nice fish.
The biggest Hybrid was about a 4 1/2 lb . We caught about 5 catfish and the rest were 2 to 3lb Hybrids. Caught them on freelines and downlines. we caught some in 15ft. and some in 25ft of water. The action wasn't fast and furious but just kinda steady. They seemed to want the smaller baits. Water temp. was 88deg. and the boat temp. was 104. boy was it HOT. We did have the top up so that provided some shade. But we still managed to have a good time.
Fish on!
Not bad. It could of been better but it could of been a lot worse. We got started a little late and had to quit early so
we ended up only fishing for about 4 hours. We caught 16 fish with the biggest Hybrid being a 5lber. Most were in the 2 to 4 lb range. We caught them on free lines and downlines in about, 25 to 35ft of water. Some of them were real aggresive and others were kinda timid. We only kept a few of the smaller ones for a fish fry.We fished in the a.m so the water temp. was still down a little bit. The water temp. was 86 deg. and the lake appears to still be falling. It was a real pleasure to fish with a family who enjoyed being out and being together. Sometimes its not always about just catching fish.
Fish On!!
FISH ON!!! Fished for a little less than three hours and caught about 20 fish. We were only keeping the gut
hooked fish so it was a little hard to keep count. We caught them in about 50 ft of water most on down lines. Around 7pm they seemd to come up and we caught a few on freelines. The water temp. has came up to 91 deg. And the lake is still going down.
Fish on!!!
FISH ON!!! What a great afternoon. We had a little bit of trouble finding the fish. So I put the downriggers out
and found a good group of fish. So went turned around and started fishing live bait. After that it was pretty much Fish On the rest of the afternoon. We were not keeping all of the fish just the ones that were gut hooked. We lost count of the number that we caught but it was somewhere between 30 to 40. We had a couple that went 6lbs. but most were in the 3 to 4lb. range. All were caught on downlines in 45 to 50 ft. of water. The water temp. is 88deg.FISH ON!!!
