Fishing Reports
March
Rough day. We caught two fish pretty quick and then it slowed down quite a bit. They were pretty scattered. We
would move and catch a few and then move again and catch a few more. By the time we were ready to leave we had 15 Hybrids and three blues. Most of the Hybrids were 3 to 4 lbs, with the biggest beinig 4.12. It was very windy most of the day. The water temp was 60 deg on the lake and we were in different depths most of the day. It did seem as the day went on that the better the bite got.
Fish on!!
Fished with my brother-in-law this afternoon for 4 hours and did ok. We missed more fish than we caught for
some reason. They were biting more like sandbass than Hybrids. Most came off on the way to the boat. I am not sure why that was happening. We caught a total of 9 pretty nice fish. All but one small one was in the 3 to 4lb range with one 5lber. The water is getting good. It was 56deg. We caught most of the fish on downlines in 30 to 35 ft of water on live bait.
FISH ON
Started out slow, and ended pretty good. We didn't boat a fish for the first couple of hours. I moved around acouple
of times and kept good bait and chum in the water and we finally found some active feeders. They seemed to want alittle bit of everything. We caught them on freelines, downlines and cut bait. There wasn't a real good pattern. Except when they took it they really took it. I think of the 20 that we caught only 4 or 5 had not swallowed the hook completly. Our biggest was 5 lbs, but most were between 3 and 4 lbs. The lake temp. was 54 deg. and we were fishing in 20 to 25ft of water. the wind was blowing about 15 mph with gust up to 20 mph out of the south.

Another good day on Sooner. It started out kinda slow then it slowed way down. So we moved alittle bit and foun
d some active feeders. At one time we had five poles bent over with fish on. We only manage to get three of them in but there was some real excitement for awhile. We ended up with 25 nice Hybrids , with the biggest being 4 1/2 lbs. It was very windy most of the afternoon. The water temp had came up to 53deg. since the day before. We were in 20 to 25 ft of water.
FISH ON!!!
Pretty good day on Sooner. It was a little windy, but it didn't seem to
hurt the bite any. We
caught 30 real nice Hybrids. Most were between 3
to 5 lbs. The biggest was a even 6lbs. We did catch a 5 lb striper this
trip. The water temp. has dropped 5 deg. from Tuesday, to 50 deg. We
caught fish on free lines, down lines and cut bait. We were in 20 to 25
ft. The size of the bait didn't seem to matter either. Most of the fish
were swallowing the bait, we couldn't tell we had a bite till the line
went tight or the pole was about to go in the water. Overall it was a very good day. And it was a Pleasure to be in the boat with two U S Marine Officers and a X Marine, not counting myself.
I am not as lean, or as mean, but I am still a Marine( X )
FISH ON!!!
FISH ON Good day on Sooner. We started out at 8am and it was real foggy. We
fished the discharge for a
bout 2 hours. We caught a few small hybrids
and a few crappie. Once the fog lifted we went out on the main lake
and found some good fish in 20 ft of water. At first they only seemed
to want the smaller baits. But by the time the afternoon was over they
were pretty much hiting any thing we thru out. When we were done we had
30 nice hybrids between 3 to 5 lbs. For some reason we lost a bunch of
fish also. Either breaking off on just coming undone. Still not sure
what was going on with that. Overall it was a very good day. Most fish
were caught on free lines and some on downlines. The lake water temp.
was 55deg.
FISH ON !!!!
Not real good, but not real bad. It took a hour to boat our first fish. After that it was just slow and steady till
about noon, then it really slowed down. We would catch a few and then they would be gone for a while. By the end of the day we had 15 Hybrids, 3 crappie, 2 green pirch and a flathead catfish. The biggest Hybrid was four lbs. The water temp. was 60 deg. and we were fishing in 20 to 25ft of water. All fish were caught on either small shad or fresh cut shad.
FISH ON
Went catfishing with a good friend and caught a few Blues. The size was pretty good with the biggest being 27lbs. We had a 18, two 15's and some mnore around 10lbs. All were caught on cut shad. The wind was blowing real hard on sat. so it was hard to rod and reel but we did mange a few on the rods. Most were caught on the jugs. The water temp. was 48deg. and we were fishing in 25 to 30 ft of water. We caught 25 by the time we went home. Overall it was pretty good.
