What a day. After catching 30 to 35 nice Hybrids this big boy came along. Of course at first I thought I was hung up. The line had slowly tighten but the boat was moving quite a bit so I didn't think much of it. I decided to set the hook. Not much moved. Then it slowly came up alittle bit. I still thought I had a log. But then it started to move alittle bit faster and away from the boat. Thats when Tony and I both said "It' s no log". About 25 minutes later and all of the poles that were out were now in, it surfaced. With one swift scoop Tony attemped to get it in the net, but it was too big. I reached down and kinda stuffed it on in. Once we got it in the boat and quit high fiving, we attempted to weigh it. The problem was my scale only goes to 50lbs. and it wa reading 32lbs(digital). We knew it was heavier than that. So we took measurements. But what I now know is it was  50 plus 32lbs. After Tony found the formula and we multiplyed it out, It weighed 82.68 lbs. After making sure it wasn't some record we realeased it for someone else  to have the pleasure of High Fiving!!!!!!

Sooner Hybrids - Nov 27, 06

Caught between 30 to 35 nice Hybrids. Most were in the 3 to 4 range with a couple in the 5 range. WIM000570.jpge had a few Stripers mixed in. We were in 40 ft of water and the temp. was 53deg. and very windy. Overall it was a very good day. Plus I caught the biggest catcfish I have ever caught.

Keystone - Nov 25, 06

Keystone Blues. Went with a good friend and caught some nice fish. The IM000562.jpgbiggest was 15 lbs., but the smallest was only about 6lbs. We had 2 or 3 in the 10 lb. range and the 15lb. All were on cut shad and all but the bigger one was in 20ft of water. The 15 lb.came in 5ft. The water temp. was 54deg.

Skiatook 11-22 - Nov 22, 06

Everybody I fish with had to work today so I went to Skiatook by myself. I got there about mid morning and left mid afternoon. I couldn't find any fish for awhile then I found them in 50ft. of water at about 30 ft. I caught 5 and missed several. They were either real aggresive or not very aggressive. Of course the big one always gets away, but I truly believe I had my biggest fish (Hybrid)of the year on, but he got under the boat and got back to the prop and that did it. Water temp was 54deg. and it was fairly windy. The biggest fish was 5lbs.

Ouachita - Nov 04, 06

Went to Ouachita with some repeat customers and had a good time.  It was pretty slow the first day. A cold front had just went thru and sloweIM000557.jpgd everthing down. On Saturday we fished for 10 hours without  catching a fish. We tried several different spots with no luck. So, Sunday morning I went to a honey hole from the past and had some  success. We ended up catching five stripers with

the

biggest about 10 lbs.  We had fished the area Saturday but not the deeper water.  Sunday we found them in 30 to 35 ft. All were caught on planner boards with small split shot on for weights. It should of been a great weekend with the water temp at 61 deg., very little wind and overcast most of the time. We did manage to see one Bald Eagle. We tried to lure him in with some discarded bait, but he didn't come very close. Overall it was a very good weekend to be out,  the fall colors were beautiful,  and it was great to be with some guys who just enjoyed being with each other and being in the outdoors.
