Fishing Reports
July
FISH ON!!! That was said about 40 times. Boy what a day. It was hot,
humid and windy, but that didn't seem to bother the fish any. We caught all of the fish on downlines in about 25 to 35 ft of water. We were using small and medium size shad. It didn't really seem to matter what you had on, they were willing to eat it. About 30 of the 40 were some real nice Hybrids with the largest being about 6lbs. We had several in the 4 to 5 range.FISH ON!!
Very Good Day. Except for all of the Sea Do's and boat traffic it was a
very good day. We caught about 25 very nice Hybrids and a few Catfish. All of the fish were caught on downlines in about 30ft of water. The boat traffic seamed to bother us more than the fish. It was alittle hot and windy but overall it was a real good day..
Nice day. It was a very plesant day for the middle of July. I really thought
since it was so nice that we wouldn't catch any fish. I was wrong. We ended up with 20 real nice Hybrids and a few Sandbass and a couple of Channels. The biggest Hybrid was 5lbs, but almost all were 3 to 4 lbs. We were fishing in 20 to 35 ft, all were caught on downlines. Water temp was at 86. It ended up being a bery nice day.
Yeee Haaaa. boy it was a good day. We caught about 40 fish total, ran
out of bait(went thru 120) and ended up downririgging and caught fish doing that also. 25 of the 40 were some real nice Hybrids with the others being some Sandbass and Chanel Cats. The biggest Hybrid was probably only 5lbs but we had several in that range. The water temp. was 88 and we were fishing in 30 ft with downlines. Most of the fish seemed to be coming thru at about 20ft. It ended up being a very good day.

Started fishing about 2pm and it was almost constant fish on for about
three hours. They slowed down about 5:30 and never did pick back up again. But by the time it was over we had 35 pretty nice Hybrids in the boat. Most were 2 to 3 lbs with a couple close to 4 lbs. They seemd to be in deeper water than they had been. Mostly 35 to 45 ft with the fish coming thru at about 40. Overall it was a very good day for just catching fish.

Very good day. That is the only way to describe it. The weather was real
nice for July, a slight breeze and the fish were hungry. We started out catching some small ones, but then the bigger ones showed up. We caught about 35 total with 25 being between 3 to 4lbs, and a couple of 5's. They were all caught on downlines on the main lake humps in 20 to 35 ft of water. The water temp. is still in the lower 80's. It was a good day of fishing and Catching.
Started fishing about 2pm nad found the fish fairly quick. We caught about
30 fish with 20 of them being Hybrids. They ranged from 1 to 4 lbs. We csught about 10 Sandies and a few Channels mixed in with them. All of the fish were caught on downlines in 20 to 30 ft. The fish really seemed to be on the move. We would catch a few then they would be gone. Overall it was a pretty good day.
Good Day. Started fishing about 2pm, didn't find the fish til about 4. When
we found them they seemed to be pretty active. We ended up with about 35 fish. 20 of them being Hybrids the rest were nice size Sandys. All but a few were caught on downlines and the rest were caught on spoons. Most fish were in the 2 to 3lb range. There was alot of surface action about dusk. Overall it was a pretty good day.
Started fishing about 2pm. We hadn't gotten a bite by 5:30 so we decided to downrigg and try to locate
some fish. While downrigging we saw some fish on a hump and caught a small sandbass as we went over them.. I marked the spot with a bouy and then we went back and fished live bait.. That turned out to be the right decesion. We ended up with 27 Hybrids. 15 or so were 3 to 4 lbs while the rest were on the small side. It started out pretty slow but ended up being a pretty good day.
