Fishing Reports
June
Slow and Small, That was the way the morning went. The biggest Hybrid
we caught was about 4lbs. However we did catch a flathead that went about 8lbs. We ended up with 9 Hybrids and a couple of catfish and a few Sandbass. It was a real nice morning to be out. The catching could of been better. All of the fish were caught on downlines in about 30ft of water. Despite how the catching went it was nice to be out with a group of family and friends who enjoyed being around each other and just having a good time.
Hot, Humid, and Rain. We got all three. It started off humid and windy,
then it turned hot and humid, then we got the rain. However, when we got the rain we also started to catch some fish. We ended up with 9 hybrids by the time we quit. We stopped a couple of hours early because everyone got pretty wet during the downpoor. Our biggest was 5 1/2. and the rest were 2 to 4 lbs, with one small sandy. All of the fish were on downlines in 30 to 40ft on small shad. Water temp had dropped some to 78.
Windy, Very windy. The wind was blowing 25 to 30mph. We had a very difficult time. We had to anchor up every where we went so that made it even more difficult and it kept us from fishing some spots we needed to fish. However, we did manage to catch about 15 Hybrids. They were all on the small side. The biggest was about 3 1/2 lbs. Most were 2 to 3lbs. All were caught on downlines in 20 to 30 ft. Water temp is still around 80 to 81 deg.
Good day to be fishing and catching. It could of been better but it could of
been alot worse. We caught 20 Hybrids. The biggest was 4 lbs. Alot of 2 to 3 lbs. The fish would move in and we catch a few and then they would leave. All fish were caught in 30 to 40 ft, on downlines. I am not sure where the bigger fish have gone but they were not around tody. Water temp is 81.

Slow,Slow. very slow. We caught 7 Hybrids, but only four that had any
size to them. The biggest was about four lbs, We were fishing in 30 to 35 ft all but one was caught on downlines. We caught one out the bsck of the boat on a free runner, The water temp. was 81 out in the main lake with a slight breeze. It could of been worse but it could of been alot better,
Nice Day. It was a real good day for fishing. It started out kind of slow
than picked up and then slowed down again. We ended up catching 10 real nice Hybrids. All were on downlines in 30 to 50 ft. We caught one out the back with a small weight on it. The water temp. is back up to 83 and climbing. Not much wind so it did seem alittle hot and humid at times. Overall it was a good afternoon of fishing and catching.
SLOW & SMALL. That tells the story for the day. We marked alot of
fish, but could not hardly get them to bite. Started chumming and that seemed to help, but the bigger fish were no where around. We ended up with our limit of small Hybrids and a few sand bass. But it seemed like a real tough day. The water is still warming up and we had a 10-15 south wind. The ones we caught were in 30 to 40 ft. all on downlines. Tough day
Fished hard for six hours, moved alot and caught a good bunch of nice
Hybrids. We caught all on down lines in 30 to 40 ft, using small shad. The biggest today was 5 lbs. They did not have the size that they had been having this week. However we ended up with about 25 nice Hybrids. The water temp is going back up, it is at 84 again. Lots of lake lice and pleasure boaters. Overall it was a good day of fishing and Catching.
Fog. Fog kept us from going where I had planned on going, but we still
managed a couple of nice Hybrids while waiting on the fog to lift. Once we got to go where we wanted to be the bite was slow but steady. We ended up catching about 20 Hybrids. some were on the smaller side but we had a few in the 4 to 5 range. It was a great to be fishing and CATCHING.
Storms. We dodged acouple of stroms but then the fun was on. Again it
started out slow with some small fish. we changed locations and found some real nice size fish. We caught a 9.1 lb and a couple of 7 1/2's. Most of the rest were in the 4 to 5 range. They were all caught on downlines in 30 to 40 ft,. water temp had dropped some to 82. We ended up catching about 15 real nice Hybrids in 3 hours. And a little girl had a real nice birthday. Even though she lost the bet to her grandpaw on the biggest fish.
