Ouachita
Dec 29 08
Lots of fishing and not much catching. Steve Carroll and I fished for three days on beautiful Lake Ouachita and only
caught 4 Stripers. However the ones we caught were real nice size. I caught a 28lb. and a 21lb. and Steve caught two 15lbers. We tried fishing the North arm but the water was real murky. So we moved to the South arm and found some fish. The water temp in the N. arm was 45deg. and 50deg. in the S. arm. A couple of the fish were caught on shad and a couple were caught on brooders. All were in 20ft or more of water. All but one was on planner boards with 1/4 oz. weight. It is a great time of the year to be fishing. We saw lots of wildlife and very little boat traffic.
FISH ON!!!
