Fishing Reports
FISH ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I thought yesterday was the a real good day, but today was the best day of
year by far on Skiatook Lake for Hybrid /Stripers. Had Dale and his family out for the first of two scheduled trips and as good friend Tony Hughes would say"We wack em real good". The first stop produced about 10 or so Hybrid/Stripers and then we moved on up the lake. We stopped on a HUGE school of HYbrid/Stripers and rods were bending before I could get them all in the water. They moved alittle bit and it slow down, so we trolled around a little and found them again. We couldn't keep up with all of the rods going down. It finally slowed down again and then we would would pick up a couple every now and then. When the morning was over we had boat somewhere around 50 Hybrid/Stripers.No real monsters but several in the 5lb range. Most were 3 to 4lbs. All today were on live bait on downlines(except for a couple)and we were in 24fow. Water temp. is 69degs.
FISH ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a really good morning on Skiatook Lake. It was probably the best day of the year, so far.
Our first stop didn't produce any Hybrid/Stripers(wipers) but we moved on up the lake some and found a real good concentration of the HYbrid/Stripers. It started off pretty slow and we were just about ready to move when we had a triple on. Then we caught another on cut bait. So I put out a couple more with cut bait. That is what they were wanting today. It wasn't just cut bait but it was freelines with the cut bait. We only fished a little over three hours and we caught around 35 real nice Hybrids/Stripers. With most between 4 to 6 lbs. We were in 24fow and water temp. is 65degs.
FISH ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FISH ON!!!!! It was a beautiful day to be on the water and the fish were cooperating. We had a really good time.
Although we didn't exactly load the boat with Hybrid/Stripers(wipers) ,we did catch a good amount of Hybrid/Stripers and a few Sandbass and one Kitty. We had to work pretty hard for them but at the end of the day we had caught 24 fish , with 20 of them being nice Hybrid/Stripers(wipers) our biggest HYbrid/Striper was 6lbs. We had a couple more pretty close to that, but most were 3 to 4 lbs. We found them in 22fow and 28fow and 12fow. We caught them on downlines and freelines. None on cut bait. water temp. was 62 degs.
Somehow this morning I missed counted my shad as I was loading and we ran short today. Robin and ED gave us some so we could keep on fishing. Thanks Robin and ED.
FISH ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SLOW DAY.!!!!!! It dose not get much slower. We ran all over the lake again and just couldn't find the active feeders.
DeWaynes son is the one who caught the lake record a few weeks ago, so this time he brought his girls hoping for another good day. It just wasn't to be. The other guides on the lake had the same issues. Ed and Robin called us over to a spot where they had located some fish to try to help us out. And it did. We ended up with six fish for the day with the biggest being a real nice 6lb Hybrid/Striper.. Water temp. is starting to warm up. It was 60 when we got off lake at 2pm. Did I say it was a SLOW DAY!!!!!!!!!
FISH ON! Pretty slow day. Took Ken out and we had a hard time finding the Hybrid/Stripers(wipers). We only had a
few then we finally found some active feeders. We caught all of Hybrids/Stripers on planner boards in about 5fow. It was a pretty slow day right up to the end. We ran all over the lake. Tried deep and shallow. But the only ones we found were in the shallow water in one spot on the lake. The last few we caught were decent size. All were on live shad. Water temp. is around 56degs. Ended the day with 12 fish mostly Hybrid/Stripers.
